Now what's going on


“FILTHY ROOM AND MANAGEMENT SUCKS”

When we arrived to the room itself looked ok. But as my family got comfortable we took off our shoes to relax and the floors was filthy, we had only one washcloth for 4 people, and no pillowcases on the pillows and of course the staff apologized and said someone will be up to clean the room today. We left for the day and returned to the room at 10pm and the room had not been clean at ALL. The trash was full and almost running over, no washcloths to bathe with, beds was not made or sheet changed, but I noticed someone did come in to pick up the old towels that was in the bathroom, I called to emergency number they gave us on the paper work we recieved when we checked in. I talk to a lady she was rude and very uncaring. I stated my complaint about the nasty floors, no washcloths, no pillowcases, and how no one came in to clean the room at all. She said she can not do anything about the floor and the room tonight but she will (see if) Maria will bring some washcloths over to us. I waited about 1 hour and no Maria or no washcloths. I called that number again she did not answer the phone. I left a message and she did not call me back all night long the lady actually shutoff the phone. So after waiting, and waiting we went to Walmart to purchase washcloths can you believe that. I have never in my life went to an establishment where no one is available to care for the needs of paying customer and just didn't care. The next morning we went to the office to complain the receptionist told me the lady that did not answer the phone last night is the MANAGER of the Kontikii Resort and her name is Linda. They did not want to refund my credit card, or give me a discount for our inconvience. I will not recommend this place to anyone ever and certainly will not ever return. I feel no customer should be treated this way. And to this day the manager Linda still have not returned my phone calls. I can only hope they will get the same treatment one day. Because (what goes around comes around.) Housekeeping sucks because the Management sucks.

overpriced for the services provided: We rented a pool side condo for 4 days. Good sized cottages. we were told that they only provide cleaning and supplies for the 1st day and that was it. we paid over $200 a day and had to do our own cleaning and buy our own shampoo and supplies. We were expected to have our own trash bags. they didn't even empty them for us. The shampoo and toiletries were travel sized and only lasted 2 days. defintaley would NOT recommend for a vacation experience. pluses- good sized room, good location. minuses- bad services, no support from staff. bait shop too far away. must bring own cleaning supplies and personal items. no water for cleaning fish on the piers. no phone service in the room. I never plan to come back to this location.

lov. it !! but take extra money!!!: MY FAMILY AND I LOVE GOING TO THIS PLACE;BUT IT IS NOT A 5 STAR FAMILY RESORT; SO PLEASE BRING THE PRICES DOWN SO WE CAN AFFFFFFORD TO COME BACK!!!!!
I didn't know there was a unit at Kontiki charging $200.00 per day?

How soon we forget

I was conserned 10 days wasn't enough time to call a spical meeting at last election 1/29/2011 and here are the two emails of that concern. Apparently, when the rules don't seem to suite change the rules! So why are we extending the voting deadline?
I'm glad to see a meeting is being called for the election of officers, but according to our by-laws the notice is to be mailed to all. When in MN I don't receive mail from TX for some 5 days and to turn a proxies within 10 days might be a stretch; therefore, could I suggest we change the meeting date further down the calender.

With electronic communication being what it is, I can email you a proxy. I would assume that most winter Texas owners would still be around the property in January, so that is why I emailed everyone along with mailing them.

I also realize that there is not a perfect day or date to get folks together and I really didn't want to wait much longer. I really wanted to have this meeting before now.

What's going on

Again why is our front office falling prey for a $ 1.00 a month? I think I've mentioned it before owners won't know what rental activitie is being conducted in our front office but it could be ithe Board knows.

Confused again

Today 8/2/2011 I received another letter and ballot with a hand written date of 7/28/2011 extending the voting until August 15th on the purposed changes to the by-laws, but the ballot is the same with deadline of 7/31/2011. What's up? I would urge voters to change the date on the newest ballot to reflect August 15th to identify them separately.
My rental company is doing a fantatic job and they don't use Unit 111 or any other common element to get the job done. Why are we voting again?????? I did also want to mention the same unit owner who didn't recieve the first ballot well they didn't recieve the second either. Just more drama at Kontiki.
